Chosen, Holy, and Dearly Loved
Posted on June 17, 2013 in Uncategorized
The name “CHOSEN” came from Colossians 3:12. What does it mean to be chosen, holy and dearly loved? One of the greatest burdens I carry for this generation is that they would understand that they are chosen. That they were handpicked before time began to play their role in the Kingdom calendar at this point in history.
I sit and cry watching television commercials…I can’t imagine what it must be like to be a child growing up in an age when we advertise Alka-Seltzer, shampoo and burgers with sexual messages. Children today are bombarded by attacks of the enemy.

But that says two things to me:
1) that they are chosen, destined for greatness in the Kingdom; and
2) that we as parents must be diligent in the messages we send them and the covering we provide them.
I have several things I would like for you to be praying over this generation.

I am convinced that as Christians, we need to understand where we stand with the Father before we can be effective in His calling on our lives. I think when we are secure in knowing that we are CHOSEN by the greatest King…that our identity begins to be grounded in Him and not in ourselves.

Romans 5:8; John 15:19; Psalm 139:16

Pray that our children and teens would begin to understand what it means to be holy…that they at 8, 9, and 16 years old should look different from the world. Pray that they would understand that when the Holy Spirit lives inside of them….the Father can accomplish incredible things in and through them. They can’t live the way their unsaved friends live. They are set apart to be a picture of holiness and righteousness to their realm of influence, to draw others to Christ.

Joel 2:28-32; Luke 11:13; John 14:16-17

Pray that the Lord would make them strong to stand against peer pressure.

Hebrews 10:36; 1 Corinthians 10:13

Pray that the Lord would pour His love over them in a powerful way. I am asking the Lord that His presence would be thick around them.

Isaiah 54:10; Jeremiah 31:3-4; 1 John 4:9

Not only does God choose us, but we have the opportunity to choose Him. We will be talking about salvation. Pray for salvation and revival.

Romans 3:23-24; 1 John 1:8-9; John 3:16

Pray that their minds and hearts would be guarded from all the attacks of the enemy on this generation and that they would be strong and courageous in their faith.

Joshua 1:9; Ephesians 6: 10-18

Pray also for parents, that God would give them wisdom and discernment for the battle that rages around us. Pray that we all would set safe boundaries around our families and our homes which would guard our hearts.

Psalm 16; Proverbs 4:23; Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 31:26
I am so thankful for you.
