For all of you who know me well, you know that I love sports and really almost all sports.  I don’t think winning is everything, but I do believe that pushing oneself to try harder and to achieve is a wonderful life lesson.  This story was shared with me by one of my precious friends who is a wonderful coach and motivator.  This story is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve heard.  In a generation of young people who tend to have an entitlement and self-centered spirit, what a great example of loving well and serving Him.  I have the great honor of being connected in mentor relationship with several young people, I often say to them “I am in your corner” as a means of communicating my love and support.  I’m praying that this story will motivate us to look around, serve where we have opportunity, and pull up a seat in someone’s corner.
