I have the privilege of asking the Father for the most effective ways of communicating to teenagers and their parents the power and importance of reserving sex for a lifetime, marital relationship.  Typically, parents are worried sick that their teen will succumb to peer pressure.  After all, everyone is doing it, right?  So they focus on all the negative consequences surrounding sex outside of marriage, hoping that the fear of STDs or pregnancy will be strong enough to keep them from sexual activity.   Teens, on the other hand, have been taught to walk a thin line.  Our society tells them not to go too far, just far enough so that they can fit in and not look different.   Fact is, that slope is too slippery and the line not easily walked.  They begin the progression toward sexual intercourse far too young leaving them nowhere to go except to become just another face in the crowd, no different at all.

When we reserve sex for marriage and follow His design and receive His blessings…can you imagine anything more powerful than two becoming one in the unity of His Spirit?  Our teens can understand deep truths with the Holy Spirit as their teacher.  Have faith in Him and enough hope in them to raise the bar higher.
