Courage

“Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change.” Robert F. Kennedy
As parents doing our best to raise a teenage son and daughter to exhibit moral courage…this quote from President Kennedy rings so true. Both our children and Brian and I have to be committed to be courageous spiritually and morally.
“cour·age – the ability to do something that frightens one or strength in the face of pain and grief.”
In today’s culture, if you and your family are going to live an overcoming life, if you are going to make an impact on those around you, and if you fully accept that you are sanctified (set apart) for the calling the Father has on your life…you can bet that you are going to need courage to do things that frighten you and to have strength in the face of pain.
“But Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage, it is I. Do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27
Take courage…it is up to us. Today choose to be courageous in the face of fear. It is in those moments when fear would overtake us, but we choose to believe Him…that we get to take our own spiritual stroll on the waves.
My love,
