As per usual these days, I’m heading out to speak to parents about social media and technology this week. This is my most requested topic for parent groups, adult bible studies, PTAs, etc.  I really enjoy talking with parents about these things, because I believe it is our job to tell kids who they are in Christ and the world is constantly telling kids a different story.  The world has extremely easy access to our kids because we (parents) are quick to put a smart phone in their hands.  So, again, I implore you parents, please take the time to filter, monitor, research, check, and recheck your kids’ devices.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…”—let’s not take that lightly.  I believe social media and technology are two of the enemy’s favorite tools right now.  If you could be a fly on the wall in my office to hear story after story of heartbreak, you would know this to be true.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”—let’s not take our responsibility to guide our kids toward life lightly either.  Let’s be wise.
