“You and I will not be equipped to do what God has called us to do if we do not have a relationship with God through His Word.”  Beth Moore

Recently, a precious group of women and I journeyed through the Beth Moore study, Breath; The Life of God in Us. One of my favorite things on earth is to study the Word with friends and to set aside time to focus on concepts that may be new to us. This particular study was on the topic of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

“The Bride of Christ without the Spirit is a corpse.”  Beth

Growing up, my family and I were members of a wonderful denomination. We were committed to sharing Christ with the lost and did a wonderful job of seeing people come to know Him. The Bible was taught and the foundation for my faith was firmly and lovingly laid. However, there were certain topics in the Word that we tended to shy away from. It was almost as though if it were difficult to understand or explain, maybe we should simply avoid it. The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives was one of those topics and we just didn’t discuss it.

Beth and the study, Breath, were a wonderful introduction to the incredible blessing the Spirit of God is to our lives. Truly, His Spirit is the source of wisdom, comfort, and power. If you are in need of a little power in your life, take a chance and spend some time learning about the power of His Presence.

He creates.

He stirs.

He breathes life.

It’s time we all took a deep breath.

Pretty interesting to me that we are in the midst of a pandemic that is impacting our breath. When one can’t breathe it can lead to panic, anxiety, and fear. Covid-19 impacts an individual’s breathing. The panic, anxiety, and fear are cutting off the breath to our society. I am asking the Lord to fill our lungs, to fill my lungs with the Breath of Life. I am asking that the Lord revive His Bride and that the Bride will breathe in deep and be filled to the full with life abundant.

I am praying for you. I am praying for your family as your kids all get back in the flow of school. Living is essential. It takes the Breath of Life to do that well.

My love,
