Merry Christmas to you!  The holidays are such a precious and priceless time for us and our families.  I enjoy every piece of it … cool nights by the fire, beautiful decorations, the cheer-filled hearts, the delicious food, and most of all, time with my family.  Time with family this year will be just a bit sweeter, I pray the same for you.

As the holidays approach, I have felt overwhelmed, sad, angry, and insecure.  And tired.  After 2020, and now 2021, I have felt the kind of tired sleep won’t fix. I was thinking about that recently and immediately realized our clients are in the same place.  They feel sad, overwhelmed, insecure or angry.  Despair engulfs them like a dense fog.

The Lord reminded me of this scripture in Psalm 105:4, “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always.”

Whatever our life situation, if we will look to the Lord and seek His face, His radiant beauty speaks joy, hope, faithfulness, and peace into the fog of our circumstance.  It is His strength we are so desperate for.

“We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” Numbers 13:30

I know what my God is capable of.  He is capable of redemption, restoration, forgiveness, rebuilding, orchestrating, blessing, healing, and pouring out unbelievable love and mercy.  Do not give up the land that is your spiritual inheritance, the land you have fought so hard to gain.

I may not know the situation unique to you and your family (believe me, I know your situation is unique and that crisis is only truly crisis when it belongs to you).  Your pain is very personal.  What I do know is the Lord is faithful and He is at work in your life.  Though things change, people change, our children change, situations change, dreams change, images change, prayers change, lives change – there is one thing that is constant.  One grip of which we can be sure, one thing that is common to us all, the Lord never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  The Lord has done great things among us and there is more to do.  The Lord can save, forgive, heal, and restore…He can change us.

He sees potential.  He sees the plans He has for our families and He says you are destined for greatness.

 “And who knows but that you were born for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

Each day, precious people come through the doors of Hope Choice facing an infinite number of different circumstances, fog surrounding them.  Gentle volunteers come along side them and help them to turn their gaze in His direction.  He pierces through the fog and brings the light of His salvation and hope.  They come face to face with an unchanging and loving Father.

This past season has given us, the Body of Christ, a run for our money. I know you are tired. But God has not changed and He is on the move.

• Our new branch on the campus of WTAMU is in the middle of a remodel.
• 803 pregnant women have come through our doors considering abortion and 787 have had a change of heart and chosen life!
• We are in schools and offering all of our mentoring programs, which touches thousands of students monthly.
• In 2021, 129 have made Jesus the Lord and Savior of their lives!!
