Wonders

“The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.” Psalm 65:8
The earth is filled with awe at your wonders…I know that we all can relate to moments that are magical as we observe the wonder of His creation. The key word there however, is “observe”…when we take the time to observe. I recently watched a video that I would like to share with you. After I watched, I began to recall times when the heavens declared His great love for me…and most of those memories took place while on vacation.
I thought of a time at a mountain cabin. I sat on the back porch one beautiful spring afternoon and as I prayed out loud and with eyes open, a humming bird stood suspended 6 inches from my nose! Thrilled me (or scared me) half to death. I screamed and giggled with delight.
I remember an evening walk with a cool breeze along the Potomac River in Washington, DC with Brian on our first trip together as a couple. I remember feeling as though I should take off my shoes, because surely the land on which the early days of this God-fearing country unfolded must be hollowed.
I can recall sunsets, sun rises and all manner of wild life and scenery. I began to wonder…why is it that most of the divine, majestic moments were on vacation? I mean, the Texas Panhandle is known for its wide open spaces and breath taking sunsets. Then it came to me…His majesty and glory are all around us. He delights in showing off His beauty and creativity…we must just take the time to observe.
These two lucky young ladies watched as the birds performed a ballet for His Majesty. You will love it!
