Today, I’m sharing the final portion of the banquet program with you.  I hope you’ve enjoyed it, been inspired, and spent some time personally thanking the Lord what He is doing for CareNet.  Below, I will fill you in on what the CareNet Board, Staff, and Volunteers believe are the spiritual ramifications of owning this new property in downtown Amarillo.  We could not be more excited about what God is doing!

I am thrilled to announce to you that CareNet has purchased that property on Taylor street.  We are currently renovating and will be in full operation in a few short weeks!!!!!

From the moment we began to consider, taking that particular piece of ground for the Kingdom, it was never about a building.  It has always been about taking ground and restoring hope.

What a miraculous and beautiful ride it has been!  We had a donor give $200,000 toward the purchase of the building and we have a donor who gave us an interest free loan for the balance of the purchase price.  We have raised over $200,000 to help with the renovation of the building.  We have an incredible group of businesses working with us on the project and have been blessed by each of them!

As you know CareNet has 4 locations–our Medi-park branch that opened in 1989.  The Northeast branch located at Amarillo Blvd and Polk opened in 1997.  In 2006, the pregnancy center in Canyon became another of our branches and in 2012 our Southeast branch opened at 34th and Osage.

We are combining both the Northeast and Southeast branches into the new building which we will call our Center City location.

The beauty of this journey thus far is overwhelming.  Many groups from many congregations have come to pray over the property.  We have scripture written all over the foundation of that place from people ranging from 3-years-old to 80!

Something we began to pray from the time we stepped into that place was that the Lord would send us re-peat customers.  We asked the Lord to send us people who had come into Planned Parenthood before for “health care services” to return to CareNet for an encounter with the HEALER.

Can I tell you that there has not be one time…not when we were looking at the property when it was for sale, not when we have had times to pray over the facility, not when we were there to let the demolition teams in…never one time when we have set foot on that property, has a person not pulled into the parking lot and come into the empty building for help!

Can you imagine the power in a young woman who years ago drove into that parking lot pregnant and terrified and was counseled to drive south to Lubbock for an abortion that would fix her problem…walking through those doors years later to attend New Dawn, our post abortion Bible Study?  Entering a place that was once darkness and deception but now a place where she will meet a Savior that has been whispering her sweet name since before time began?!  Talk about what the enemy meant for evil working together for the good of those who love HIM!

In November of 2015, the Northeast Branch moved into a little duplex that is a part of the property and began seeing clients.  Now our Southeast Branch has joined them…Let me give you a comparison…when we opened the Southeast Branch at 34th and Osage in 2012, they saw 9 clients their first month of operations.  Our new Center City location, with no advertising, working out of a tiny duplex temporarily, saw 117 clients their first month and have seen over 400 since we opened those doors!

This property is in the very heart of Amarillo.  For two decades from inside those walls mis-truths, deception, loss of innocence, and darkness were declared.

Can we just declare that we do have a good, good Father whose plans for us are good to give us and the next generation a hope and a future!

I can’t tell you the number of morning I have spent before the Lord over the last months regarding this new ground that He has called us to…on one of those mornings…I had one of those times.  I don’t know about you, but every moment I spend before the Lord is precious, but there are those few times, when it seems that if I were brave enough to open my eyes He would be sitting right there?

Well, it was that kind of a moment.  I had just been with my sweet friend that I mentioned in the video.  She too has had an abortion that began as council from Planned Parenthood…and the Lord told me during our conversation to tell her that He was calling debts due and that the enemy would return all that He had stolen.

So now I am sitting before the Lord and just praying and listening and praying and listening because I am completely out of my league on this deal and in awe (that’s what I call it when I don’t want to say terrified) of what He is doing.

And He spoke not audibly, but to my heart.

“Candy, it is time.  I am going into the enemy’s camp and I am going to bring back everything that He has stolen from this community, from CareNet, from you, from our young people, from families, from Me…purity, innocence, dignity, lives, peace and hope.  You want to go with me?”

Well I can tell you, more than anything I want to go!

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you, and make you strong, firm and steadfast.  To Him be power forever and ever amen” 2 Peter 5:10

So my question for you tonight is the same one that was asked of me…Our great King is plundering the enemy’s camp…He is using what Satan meant for evil for the good of those who love Him…I want to go with Him…will you go with us?

Tonight we are asking you to listen to the Lord for the last few moments of our program and ask Him what that means for you…maybe He is asking you to volunteer, to be a part of our speaking team or our prayer team…we need you!

Maybe He is asking you to give…after much thought and prayer, I am asking the Lord for $300,000 tonight to finish the renovations on the new building and for $300,000 for the general operations of the ministry over the next year.  Would you quietly listen to the Lord to see if He would have you be a part of that?
